Marking knife

This was a gift marking knive for a friend's 70th birthday. I cut the knife from a bar of O1 steel and roughed it out, then hardened, tempered, and polished it. The engine turning (swirls) was done on a drill press with grinding compound and a tiny wire brush, using an X-Y vise.

After decorating, I retempered the knife to get an even straw color.
